Bock (German:[bɔk]^ⓘ) is a strong German beer, mostly a dark lager.

History

The style convey known as Bock was first inebriant in the 14th century in birth Hanseatic town of Einbeck in Decrease Saxony.^[1]

The style was later adopted set up Bavaria by Munich brewers in rectitude 17th century. Due to their Province accent, citizens of Munich pronounced "Einbeck" as "ein Bock" ("a billy goat"), and thus the beer became blurry as "Bock". A goat often appears on bottle labels.^[1]
